Six Sigma Programmed Learning

Six Sigma programmed learning is designed for those who do not want to attend regular classes, or who do not have time to attend formal classes. The training is self paced, meaning that the student can work on and progress in their studies at their own pace, on their own time. Learning takes place at home on their own computer, or at work. Students can choose several or all courses.

This type of learning is well accepted as a method of progressing through concepts with better understanding, as there is no time table for progress. It is good for students who want to add an extra class to their busy schedule but don't have time slots on a regular schedule. It is also nice for executives who want to learn during off work hours, or in the middle of the night. All that is needed is computer access and time to work through the programs.

These forward thinking programs teach and inform how to improve quality control through specific methods. Students learn how to keep the customer's requirements a top priority in product design and production or service provision. Special attention is given to reducing waste, errors and defects. The goal is zero defects and higher customer satisfaction, which should come together as a project moves along with Six Sigma thinkers.

Completion of Six Sigma Training and Certification is a plus on any student's resume. Employers should recognize the value of trained forward thinking employees for increasing client satisfaction with overall production or services rendered. There are different levels of Six Sigma based on a karate style approach to fighting errors. Green Belt, Yellow Belt, Black Belt and Master are Six Sigma courses with different emphasis and duties. Managers will benefit as well as employees from Six Sigma programmed learning.
